I thought I'd better post something before I was scolded again.
Walker is hosting its annual "Eelpout Festival". It started as a joke over 20 years ago, and has become a HUGE event every February for the area. They have a contest for who can catch the biggest eelpout, ice races, polar plunges, bands, contests for the best encampment on the ice, music, and this year, some of the Viking's cheerleaders. Many more things that I can't remember right now.
Each year, our son would host a group of his friends, and they would all come back here on Sunday morning. My husband would make stacks and stacks of his pancakes (YUM), cook sausages, and try to fill them up. This year, just one friend could make it. I'm glad he did, though. Colin needs to do something fun.
Dale is busy this morning doing laundry and baking cookies. Yes, doing laundry. After my problems on the steps last week, he has decided to take over that job. I hope it's temporary. Not that he doesn't do a good job, he does a great job. But I hope my knees are better so I can 'do the stairs' once again....
