Should I Have Cards Printed?

I'm disappearing... half an inch at a time! Had my annual check-up Monday. I've lost 7 lbs., and I'm a half inch shorter than last year...

Now maybe this wouldn't bother most people, but the tallest I have ever been was 5 ft. 1/2 in. Half an inch at a time, I seem to be disappearing! Now I measure 4 ft. 10 in. I now qualify officially as a 'little person'.

The Defense...

I was able to watch and listen to Sean Froyd's defense of his doctoral thesis last night. Technology is amazing!

He did such a wonderful job. He says he will be coming back to Minnesota. I told him if he teaches at BSU, I will be signed up for one of his classes!

Way to go, Dr. Froyd!

Break Over, Now I Have a Bone to Pick!!!

Why do people send other people 'forwards' that have nothing whatsoever to do with anything real????? Why do they send any at all?

Yes, I'm guilty of passing on a FEW... but only those that seem to have merit, those that I have checked out at Snopes.com, and I pass them on to a very few select friends. So there!

I guess what my point is --- how gullible, ignorant, uninformed do people think I am??? Most of the people who send me this crap are supposed to KNOW who I am, right? They know I'm a college graduate, retired teacher, voracious reader, and keep up on local, state, and world news. So why is it necessary for them to hurl a bunch of non-essential, bias-laden, facts-unchecked piece of CRAPOLA?

I have a spam filter on my email that catches over FOUR HUNDRED bogus emails a day. Do I have to start adding some of these supposed friends, and uninformed people to my 'spam' list?

OK, now you can talk among yourselves and get back to me with some solutions.

I Think I'll Take a Break Now...

I just completed quilt/blanket #202 for "Project Linus"... This a batch of embellished fleece blankets. I hem the edges, then machine embroider designs all around the hem. Then place a fabric 'panel' in the middle of the blanket, securing all the edges, and outlining various parts of the design with more stitches.

(By the way, that is my hair sticking out on the left side of my head. No... my ears do NOT stick out like that, thank you very much!)

I think it's time I take a break from this project. I love doing it, however, I also want to make several things for family members for Christmas. If I don't start soon, they won't get done on time!

Had rain all day yesterday, snow and ice last night. Today the sun came out and snow and ice are melting! Tomorrow should be even warmer. Sure a crazy fall this year!
