I've added yet another story to my other blog (see link on the right). This one is titled "Daddy", and is my recollection of the time my father was in World War II. I also created a website to honor him and my mother for what they had to endure during those years. (I can't access the server it's on to link to it right now. Will try later)
Really would like someone to comment on a story. (shameless I know, I can't help it. I'm needy!)
I've been thinking about both of them a lot lately. Maybe it's my age. I'll turn 65 in just a couple of weeks... I USED to think that was REALLY OLD! Now not so much!
My father was 64 when he had a massive heart attack. The dr. told us that he was dead before he hit the ground. My mother passed away at age 83. The last ten years of her life were spent in poor health and she also suffered from dementia.
If I had a choice, I'd like to go quickly, like my dad.
Wow, that was a depressing post. Sorry.
