This latest batch for 'Project Linus' is 8 fleece blankets. Some are embellished with 'whole panel' fabrics, some with smaller motifs cut from fabric. After stitching down the panels, it is important to also stitch throughout the panel. For example, if the panel has lines, frames, etc. stitch around those. Otherwise, the panel can be pulled away from the fleece. Six of the blankets are hemmed using one of the decorative stitches on my machine, two are edged with simple crochet stitching.
'Project Linus' has patterns and ideas for many, many kinds of blankets and quilts that can be made. They also list the different chapters in each state, with the name and email address for each coordinator.
