I'm working on a rather large project for a lady. Four ruffled pillows for a couch, then seat cushions for two chairs, and cover other cushions on two more chairs, and ruffled pillows to tie on the back of two of the chairs. I added an off-white cotton square to the front of each pillow, embroidered with a quilting design. I delivered the pillows yesterday. She really liked them! I forgot to take a picture of the finished pillows, but will take one when I deliver the rest of her order.
In between wrestling with the cushions (I do need a break from them...) I've hemmed a pair of men's dress slacks, shortened three prs. of jeans, and mended a bra for other customers.
My husband and son continue to work outside, cleaning up leaves, branches, etc. We have a HUGE yard, and they also take care of my brother's place next door, which is also HUGE! My outside job will be to take care of my flower beds. I did plant a new lily I ordered from Guerney's. It's a Star Lily. Red with a white dotted throat. It is the only lily with a sweet odor. I had one a few years ago, but it only came up two years, then disappeared! I have high hopes for this one!
