My husband and Maynard
I have told my family for some time that "the next dog I get will be named 'Maynard'".
But when we got this puppy, there was a lot of discussion about celebrating her beautiful, shiny, black coat, so.... we named her 'Raven'.
After living with her for a week, and enjoying her quirky personality and playful ways, she just does NOT seem like a 'Raven'. The name is too sophisticated, too 'up-town' for this dog.
So, she is now officially, 'MAYNARD'! I know, it's a guy's name. I know! OK? But it's my dog and I can name her anything I want, right? As my son says, 'Deal with it!'

Love, love , love the new name. From looking at her photos, the new name is more fitting. Your new baby is so sweet; I want a puppy now!
