Some Thoughts on Aging...

The title of this post is probably a real turn-off for most people, but deal with it!

I'm smack dab in the middle of my 65th year on this planet. Where did the time go? And who in the world is that grey-haired lady looking back at me from every single mirror I look into???? And who bought those comfortable, Velcro-closured tennis shoes I see in my closet? Or the black support stockings? Or all those old-lady clothes? Hmmmmmmm???????

When did comfort become more important than style? When did the number of medication vials in the cabinet suddenly outnumber the make-up items I use? (base and some blush) Who put all the grey hair in my comb and brush? And then there's the cane... and the walker... and yes, the daily naps. These are all signs that some OLD person is living here. Crap!

Inside, I still feel young. I still want to do the things I used to do but that's not possible anymore. I have to get used to this stage in my life, and become comfortable with it. That is easier said than done... but I'm trying! Yes, folks, I'm trying!

aging can be a real bitch!

i miss my younger and healthier life, too. i hope i can reclaim some of those days in the future, but you just never know. muscle spasms and pain keep me from being able to walk as much or as easily as i would like to. the older body ain't what it used to be!

hmmm

Well I won't buy clothes that aren't comfortable. I've found that if they're not comfy, they just sit in my closet and are a total waste of money.

So wanting to be comfortable doesn't make you old :) Just smart.

I can't wait for medicare! Isn't that a shame! Have a year to go! Hate my skin and droopy arms!!!!! I do hate putting on make-up with my 8x mirror. Wonder why it all went by so fast.....

Psh. 65 is nothing. You have nothing to talk about until you reach 90. :) (Said the 24 year old.)
