Sharon, you are so talented! But this, of course, does not surprise me. ;)

I also want to say thank you for the incredibly supportive comments you have been leaving on my blog. You are truly a sweet heart. If you are seriously interested in having a portrait done of your poodles, send me an email and I will send you a price list. Of course, I don't want you to feel obligated, but I am happy to give you the bloggy-friend discount if you chose to commission a painting. I especially love doing paintings for people I know. :)

Much love to you and take care!

Sharon,
I just read your story “adoption”; I had to write to you. I am in tears as I sit writing this. Thank you so much for sharing you story. I am sure it was very difficult to write. I cannot begin to imagine how terrible life must have been for you when you lost your baby. I am so sorry that you had to endure such a terrible event and loss. I am not sure why God does some things, and I never will know why. At times, it feels like life is so unfair, and then, a rainbow of hope – your two lovely children, Colin and Stacy.

Not many people know this about me, only my family, but I am a child of adoption. My mother left my biological father when I was born because he was abusive. After he threw my mom down a flight of steps and burnt me with a cigarette, she divorced him. I have never met nor do I ever have any desire to meet him. My mom met my dad when I was six months old, and they married three years later. My dad then legally adopted me shortly after. I have and always will consider him my real father. He has been there for me and has loved me for as long as I can remember. I am so blessed that God brought him into my mother and I’s lives. He gave me his last name, and when my son was born, that is why I chose to name him after my dad. You see, my mom and dad decided not to have any more children; my dad wanted to prove to me that he considered me to be his real daughter and did not need a child of his own “blood”. I was all he needed. Thus, as a tribute and to carry on his name, my son is named after his poppa.

Basically, what I am trying to say is, it does not matter where someone came from, what matters is who loves that person. And, thanks to you and your husband, you gave love and a family to two beautiful little babies who might not have had that opportunity. But, I am sure that you already know that.

God bless you and your wonderful family, each and every day!

Do you belong to the group? I wanted to join at the start of the fad, but never did. They do some fun things! They are at all the home and garden tours I take.
