And On and On...

Recuperating from any surgery takes time. I know this intellectually. However, what I feel about my situation is quite different.

I was told I would be able to drive in '4-6 weeks'. I'm entering my fifth post-op week, and still need to use the walker, still rely on pain pills (mostly at night), and have a difficult time dressing, sitting down, getting up again, turning in bed, standing for any length of time without extreme pain.

Part of the pain is now in the bursar of my right hip (from the extreme exercise on Monday).

I know no one wants to read about someone's pain and depression, but I guess I needed to write about it.

What am I doing to combat it? I am sewing, writing, editing books for 'Seeing Hands', washing dishes, and that's about it. For those who know me, you can understand why I am going 'bonkers' right now!!!! I'm usually a pretty active person...

Hopefully, some day this pain will be over...

I hope that you wean off the meds slowly when you're ready. I went cold turkey after 2 months of taking them and it sucked! No one told me you need to step them down.

Just a heads up.

I'm sorry that it is slow going. I bet it is so frustrating.

"Loving what is" is easier said than done, isn't it.
