I saw the orthopedic surgeon yesterday. He looked at my year-old X-rays and took new ones. He examined my knees.
Prognosis? The left knee can wait, but the right knee must be totally replaced. Surgery is scheduled for October 4th. Although I've had various surgeries over the years (twelve in all), I'm still apprehensive. He is an excellent surgeon, however, and I feel that I will be in good hands. (Dr. Miller of Bemidji)
Sooo... in the meantime, I plan to do my exercises, ride the exercise bike, and maybe even lose a few pounds. Sounds like a plan, right?
I'm already dreaming of what I can do after the surgery that I can't do now. At least not without a lot of pain.

This has been a LONG time coming and I will be thrilled with your new freedom once you're recovered.
Thanks, Loralee. I like the word 'freedom'. Yes, that's what it will be alright!
