Well, maybe it is only interesting to me, but here it is:
I have several planters on the railing of our deck. This year I have red geraniums and purple verbena in them. I water them often during dry spells. OK, you have the picture.
I was out there yesterday, giving all the plants a good drink, when I noticed a butterfly caught in a spider web. It was flapping its wings, trying desperately to escape. So, I carefully pulled the web loose from the plant, and oh...so...carefully... managed to get the strand off one of his feet without touching his wings. He dropped down into the soil of the planter, and I moved on to the next planter. Just then, the butterfly flew over to me and sat on the back of my hand. He stayed there for several minutes before flying off.
Now, my question to you is this - Was he saying thank you? Or just resting?

He was probably telling you that you are much more of a hottie than the other butterflies in the garden. :)
great, now that butterfly is going to go off and start a bunch of typhoons in the gulf of mexico.
Butterflies are the cause of typhoons? Hmmmm.....
As Aspen would say...*ponder*
I think he was saying thank you. Because in Sueanne's magical fairy playland, butterflies always say please and thank you.
DEFINITELY THANK YOU!
Either way, sounds like your butterfly sure returned the favour! Wonder ... full!
